Philippines told China to be careful in statements about use of force

Department of National Defense told China to be more careful in releasing statement regarding the use of military force.  “They should be more circumspect regarding the giving of statement,” Defense Department Spokesman Peter Galvez said.

Galvez also added that “the soonest that we approach this peacefully, the sooner the region can expect all the development and growth, which is the target and aimed for hindi lang ng mga Pilipino, pati lahat ng mga tao sa buong Asia-Pacific.”

Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan earlier warned the Philippines and Japan not to try China’s effort to protect its national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, saying the Chinese military can be assembled quickly to fight and win any battle.  “Not even a tiny bit of violation is allowed,” he added.
