China to break disputing countries’ illusions
“Some countries and people have the illusions that China will sit idly by watching its sovereignty, security and development interests being undermined. If China is really using its force to change anything, it is to break the illusions of these countries and people,” China Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Qin Gang’s said in a press meeting.
China has been accused of using force creating distabilization in South and East China Sea, that their unilateral actions increased tensions.
However, China is firm with their position saying “the force we have is to safeguard the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of our country. The force we have is a wave of positive energy that promotes world peace, stability and development.”
Near miss between Chinese and Japanese aircrafts
Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Chinese SU-27 fighters came very close (170 feet) to a Japanese OP-3C surveillance plane near disputed territory on Saturday, May 24 and within 30 meters of a YS-11EB electronic intelligence aircraft.
“The near miss is something which should never happen. We view this as an extremely dangerous action which may cause an unanticipated accident and is highly regrettable. We will protest to China through diplomatic channels,” Suga said.
